The short film is the story of a grieving mother searching for peace after the murder of her son at the hands of the police. She has an unexpected and tense visit from her son’s father and her former husband. It's a story about grief, forgiveness, and being a black parent in a hostile environment.

Lucy Morales Carlisle is an Emmy-nominated, two-time Webby winner and a multi-disciplinary filmmaker with over a decade of experience in digital media and post-production. She received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts and a MFA in Media Arts from The City College of New York. As an immigrant displaced by the Salvadoran Civil War, her work deals with themes of identity and isolation, alternate universes, and the manipulation of time and space. She wishes to tell stories concurrent with the Latinx diaspora, focusing on women and culture. She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Police Officer Nelson Velez and former homeless man-turned-homeless Outreach Worker, Tommy McInnis, worked together in the subways helping homeless people from 1993 to 2002. When they parted in 2002, Nelson continued his assignment with the homeless outreach unit, using his inherited skills. He was walking in Tommy's shoes, having been accepted as a good replacement by the same homeless people that Tommy worked with before.
Tommy left MTA Connections after the terror attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11th, 2001. He trained for and later became an Emergency Medical Technician. He was now busy racing around Midtown Manhattan in an ambulance with lights and sirens, responding to emergencies along with police and firefighters. He now walked in Nelson's shoes.
They remain friends to this day. Nelson retired from the police department in 2005, and Tommy continues to work as an EMT in Manhattan. They both still live in and work in New York City.

Tiffany Yancey is best known for her lead role as Laura Cowan in Investigation Discovery's "House of Horrors" and, most recently, her first independent film "Love Him Or Leave Him," which she wrote, co-produced, and stars in. She was honored with the Robert Anthony Award for contributing to the film industry. Tiffany's acting journey began after she graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Communications in 1997 and moved to the Washington DC Metro area. She studied her craft with renowned acting coaches Professor Vera Katz of Howard University & Woolly Mammoth Theater and On-Camera Training with Brenna McDonough. She sharpened her comedy skills at the DC Improv and Jokes on Us Comedy Club. She blazed the local DC theater circuit, honing her craft by landing numerous acting jobs there. Theater credits include principal roles with One Stage Productions, Chevy Chase Players, Prince George Theater, and in Off-Broadway shows with TSI/NYC Players and 440 Studios in New York. TV & Film credits include extra and principal work on the critically acclaimed show HBO’s “The Wire” and the feature film "Ladder 49" and a re-occurring role as the ever so-aggressive Lucinda King in the hit local soap opera "Snowden Crossing." She co-starred in the well-received indie film "Split Second" directed by Timothy Fontaine, where she won the "Best Supporting Actress" award at the EOTM (Entrepreneurs on The Move) awards in Los Angeles. Tiffany most recently started her own company, April Reign Productions, LLC, which she writes, produces, and stars in her movie projects that tell stories from a woman's perspective.
